So it’s a bit chilly outside here at the moment:
But the root cellar is amazingly holding its own:
I did turn the lone incandescent bulb in the cellar on a few days ago, so that’s helping a bit.
I’m not sure it’ll above freezing today, though — the temp sensor at the back of the shed (near the cellar door) is at about 11°F, and has lost 8° since midnight. With nothing to reverse the trend for at least 24 hours, those few degrees between the root cellar and freezing are a thin buffer (note to self: insulate the inside of the cellar door!).
